In 2021, while the world was still grappling with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, Metro Vancouver Transit Police continued to keep transit users safe while giving back to the communities we serve. Supporting Special Olympics British Columbia is one of the many initiatives where Transit Police went beyond the call of duty, and supported a good cause. Due to the pandemic, the Polar Plunge was held virtually in 2021 and many Law Enforcement Agencies organized their own mini plunges. This video showcases the commitment of our organization to supporting SOBC and raising funds for their amazing athletes. We raised $3,455 through our efforts and support from our staff, friends and families.
